Family!

We love having family come into town.  Uncle Doug, Aunt Veronika, Danika, and Patrik came to visit us this weekend.  The boys loved it despite their attitudes they had off and on while they were here!

We got to go to the zoo, watch Cody at his basketball game, go swimming, hangout downtown and we also celebrated Danika's 6th birthday at Sumo, or favorite Japanese steakhouse!

I was not the smartest and left my camera at home on a few of these trips, but when I did have it, I took plenty of pictures.

Aunt Veronika caught it too!

Danika spent the night with us one night while she was here.

Cody wanted a turn to paint them.  I only let him with the clear coat!

The kids had a great time, I just wish we got to see them more often.

Hopefully we'll make it to Chicago around Christmas and be able to spend more time with them!

Happy 4th of July

Our 4th of July started out pretty crummy.  It rained on and off all.day.long!  We had planned to hang out with the neighbors by the pool all day, eat traditional 4th of July food, then head over to watch the fireworks when it got dark.  The rain changed everything.

The boys did look pretty cute before it started raining though

Cole loves being outside

We also found out today that blueberries are Cole's new favorite food

We decided to head over to our neighbors to hang out and just see what the weather was going to do.  If there was even a slight break in rain, we were going to head out to watch the fireworks.

Cade playing with the bubble machine in the rain

I undertand everything that is wrong with this picture, but it was just a really cute picture of him.  Well besides the fact he was holding an empty beer can.  A can someone put in his hand right before I took the picture just to see what I would do...

Cole found a cookie someone didn't finish and decided not to waste it

All the kiddos playing in the rain

Cade and Brady
This picture just shows how little my child is.  Brady is two months younger than Cade

The rain did finally let up so we were able to go watch the fireworks.

What a ham

That must have been a really big firework

Cade watching the grand finale!

I don't think I have to tell you who loved the fireworks the most!  Cade watched the entire show and asked if we can go again "anofer day"

Hope everyone had an awesome 4th of July like we ended up having!!
