Still Sick

The boys are still not feeling too hot these days. These allergies are just attacking little Codeman. He is just miserable. We are now on our third allergy medicine and so far we haven't seen any change. He's just not himself. Hopefully the medicine will kick in and he'll start feeling better. Cade is doing much better though. He still has a little cough (the doctor said he had a mild case of croup) but the medicine has done it's job and he's getting back to the good old Cade.

Cody all bundled in his alligator bath wrap. You can tell he just doesn't feel well.
The one good thing is the boys sleep in, however they both end up in our room some time during the night.

The Boys New Tricks

We had a tough Memorial Day weekend. First off, Cody started getting sick Saturday afternoon and by Saturday night, he was running a 103 temperature. I spent all of Saturday night giving him medicine and rubbing a cold rag on him to make sure the fever stayed down. It paid off because he has not had fever since then but he still is quite stopped up and still not feeling well.

On top of Cody being sick, Cade started not feeling well. He started getting an ugly sounding cough and has been fussy which is not like him at all. We are worried about his cough because he is so young but the on-call doctor said he should be fine to wait till tomorrow for his doctor's appointment.

Although they have both been sick, that has not stopped them from discovering new things. Sunday evening we went to Uncle Carl's house for a cookout (it was raining so we ended up having more of a "cook-in"). Daddy tried to teach Cody how to play poker. Let's just hope I don't find him watching Texas Hold 'Em on TV like his daddy!

Cade also learned how to blow bubbles with his mouth. We're so proud! The fun part was he was copying us. It is still fun to see them learn new things, even if it means watching them spit for the first time!

Haircuts and Cupcakes

The boys finally got haircuts! I think Easter was the last time they had a haircut so you can only imagine how long their hair had gotten! Ty was bringing cupcakes to school today for his birthday celebration so I thought he should probably look his best!

Getting Started

Well, I have decided to join the blogging world. We live too far away from all our friends and family so I feel they miss out on a lot of stuff. Hopefully this will be a way to keep them all up to date! Plus, I hate being told by my own husband that I'm just not as cool of a mom as Stephanie because I don't record all the cool things my kids do. So, here goes nothing...

I have four wonderful kids. My step-daughter, McKinly is 9 and is almost finished with 3rd grade. My step-son, Ty is 6 and will graduate Kindergarten in a week. My son, Cody is 2 and lets just say, he is the true definition of a two year old. He is an awesome little boy, but there are times when I wouldn't mind shipping him to Nana's house for a week! My youngest, Cade is 3 months old and he is a great baby! I couldn't ask for a better one. He only cries when he needs something and can just sit and keep himself entertained for hours.

I don't have a picture of all four of them together, I guess that will be the first thing on my "to do" list!
